On Board Palace on Wheels

Day1: (Departs at 0430 hr)
Delhi: The tour starts from New Delhi at 0930 hr and the visitors pays visit to famous places of the city including India Gate, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and more. After lunch the tourists are transferred to Safdarjung Railway Station, where the guests are given a warm traditional welcome before the Palace on Wheels pulls out into the night for a week long journey through Rajasthan. Reporting time for the travellers at Delhi Cantt. Railway Station is 0400 hr.

Day 2 (Arrives at 0200 hr Departs at 1930 hr)
Jaipur: At about 0200 hr, the Palace on Wheels arrives at Jaipur, one of the most sought after destination for the tourists visiting India. Luxury Coaches are arranged for the guests that make the visit to this glorious city most memorable. Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, City Palace and Jantar Mantar are few of the architectural wonders the travelers can visit during their trip. Jaipur is also famous for jewelery, handicrafts, carpets blue pottery and textiles. Rajasthali, the only Rajasthan Govt. Emporium is located near Ajmeri Gate and is famous for handicraft sellings, pattu shawls, mirror work and embroidered articles, wooden boxes, silver jewelery and curious. Day 3 ( Arrives at 0815 hr and Departs at 2300 hr)
Jaisalmer: Welcome to Jaisalmer, nicknamed as “ The Golden City”, lies in the heart of Thar Desert. Because of its artistic structures and monuments of local historic importance makes it a popular tourist destination. The main attractions inside the fort are Raj Mahal (Royal palace), Jain temples and the Laxminath temple. The main havelis in Jaisalmer are Patwon-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli and Nathmalji-Ki-Haveli. Shop At Rajasthali enjoy Camel safari through the nearby desert which is very are popular. Enjoy dinner at a hotel in Jaisalmer. The train leaves for Jodhpur at night.

Day 4 ( Arrives at 0700 hr and Departs at 1530 hr)
Jodhpur: Jodhpur the second largest city of Rajasthan feels pleasure to welcome “Palace on Wheels”. It is popular tourist destination. There are many beautiful places to visit like Umaid Bhawan Palace, forts, temples and desert landscape. Jodhpur considered to be as shoppers' delight with different kinds of textiles, handicrafts, shoes and antique is famous among art and craft lovers. After lunch at the palace hotel, return to the Train to explore more of Rajasthan.

Day 5 ( Arrives at 0400 hr and Departs at 1030 hr)
Sawai Madhopur: One can feel close to the nature as the Palace on Wheel arrives at Sawai Madhopur. It is a home to the Ranthambore National Park and the historic Ranthambore fortress, which lies within the national park. After breakfast a visit is arranged to Rathambore park, which is famous for its large tiger population. This is considered to be the best place for observing tiger activities and having a close look of wildlife. After having a close look at the wildlife reserve, the Palace on Wheel is now ready to leave for Chittorgarh.

Day 5 (Arrives at 1600 hr)
Chittorgarh: After lunch on board you are in Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh is the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and spirit of people of Chittor always chose death before surrendering against anyone. It is a symbol of all that was brave, true and noble in the glorious Rajput tradition. The other places to visit are Chittorgarh Fort and Kalika Mata Temple

Day 6 ( Departs at 0530 hr)
Udaipur: The City of Lake welcomes you in the morning. On your travel to Udaipur you can explore the different views of the romantic city. Udaipur attracts a huge number of tourists during the famous Mewar festival. Undoubtedly the Jag Niwas or Lake Palace situated in the middle of the famous Pichola lake is one of the most mesmerizing spots of the city.

Day 7 Bharatpur( Arrives at 0630 hr and Departs at 1145 hr)
Bharatpur: Palace on Wheels arrives at Bharatpur in the early morning. After breakfast be ready to visit famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, one of the major wintering areas for large number of migratory birds from different parts of the world. Some 364 specious of birds including the rare Siberian Crane come here during the winter season. Famous for its festivals like Teej, Gangaur and Brij one can make his journey a memorable one.

Day 7 ( Arrives at 1430 hr and Departs at 2300 hr)
Agra: Arrival of Palace on Wheels at Fatehpur Sikri ( the City of Victory) built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. This city was the capital of the Mughal empire for around 10 years. Also pay visit to one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. After lunch move on to have a glance of Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. Now your dream of watching Taj Mahal is going to come true since you arrived at Taj Mahal, one of the Seven wonders of the world, built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The city is known for its splendid marble inlay work like the Pietra Dura work on the Taj, leather goods and jewelery. After dinner on board and a sound sleep in the night, Palace on Wheels arrives at Safdarjung Train Station, New Delhi at 0600 hr. Your royal journey ends here.

The Royal Orient Tour starts on every Wednesday from the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station. The train operates only from September to April in a year. So as to maintain the train and let it meet the required renovation, the Royal Orient does not operate for 4 months from May-August. Day 1: Delhi (Departs 1500 hr)
The Royal Orient starts its journey from Delhi, the Capital city of India; Delhi is one of the well known historical cities of the world. Famous attractions here include Qutab Minar, Red Fort and Jama Masjid, Purana Qila, the Lotus temple and the India Gate. The Royal Orient train begins its journey from the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station at around 15:00 hrs. Get ready to explore the best of Indian heritage and culture, visiting most fascinating states of India, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Visitors can enjoy evening tea and dinner and stay on board the luxury train, for overnight journey.

Day 2: Chittorgarh, Udhaipur, Mehsana
Chittorgarh next destination of Royal Orient, welcomes you all. Chittorgarh is the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and spirit of people of Chittor always chose death before surrendering against anyone. It is a symbol of all that was brave, true and noble in the glorious Rajput tradition. The other places to visit are Chittorgarh Fort and Kalika Mata Temple. After enjoying breakfast on the board get ready for the onward journey to Udaipur, a combination of beauty and heritage. The Royal Orient reaches Udaipur in the noon, after lunch in the hotel, get ready for the evening tour and the main attractions waiting for your visit are the City Palace, Lake Pichola, Sahelion Ki Bari, Fateh Sagar Lake, Jagdish temple etc. After the sightseeing tour of Udaipur city, you will return back to the Royal Orient train and leave for Mehsana. Day 3: Arrives Junagarh 1400 hr Departs 1600 hr; Arrives Veraval 1800 hr Departs 0500 hr; Junagarh and Veraval
The third day of your journey takes you to Junagarh and Veraval. The main attractions at Junagarh and Veraval are the Ashokan Rock, Darbar Hall Museum and Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji. The town of Veraval is located 6 km away from Somnath, your next destination. The main attraction at Somnath is the famous Shiva Temple on the Arabian Sea.

Day 4: Arrives Sasangir 1630hr Departs 1130 hr; Arrives Dilwara 1430hr Departs 2005 hr; Sasangir and Mandvi
The Royal Orient departs early morning from Veraval for Sasan Gir. Sasangir is well known for the Gir National Park. Gir National Park is the only remaining habitat of the Asiatic lion. Have early breakfast on board the Royal Orient train. Visitors can leave for a tour of the Gir Lion sanctuary, where you can spot the Asiatic Lion. After exploring the Gir National Park, the Royal Orient train heads towards Dilwara. The main attractions at Dilwara are the St. Paul's Church, Diu fort and the Ahmedpur-Mandvi beach. Day 5: Arrives Palitana 1740 hr Departs 1230 hr; Arrives Sarkhej 1905; Palitana, Sarkhej
On the fifth day of the tour, the Royal Orient train takes you to Palitana and Sarkhej. Have your breakfast on board and move to explore the famous Jain temples at Shatrunjaya Hills. After visiting Palitana's beautiful Jain temples, the Royal Orient tour takes you to an amazing destination, known for its unique village life. It is the Vishalla village, located in Sarkhej. It is believed that in Vishalla village, traditions and customs are kept intact and are not influenced by outside culture. From Sarkhej you will be driven to Ahmedabad by bus.

Day 6: Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is one of the most important cities of Gujarat. From Sarkhej the passengers will be taken to Ahmedabad by bus It is also a big industrial center. After breakfast you will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad. The main Tourist Attractions in India at Ahmedabad are Adalaj Stepwell, Gandhi Ashram, Calico museum of Textiles and Sidi Sayyad's Mosque. Besides the sightseeing, you can also do some shopping for local artifacts and souvenirs. Day 7: Arrives Jaipur 1115 hr Departs 2130 hr; Jaipur
The Royal Orient train reaches Jaipur, the Pink City, on the seventh day of the tour. After finishing breakfast on board and get ready for sightseeing tour of the Pink city. Jaipur is one of the most beautiful cities of India and a great center of Indian culture and heritage.
