How to Reach Dharamshala

Reaching Dharamshala is not a problem as the city is well-connected with various modes of transportation to major Indian cities.

Air: The nearest airport is 13 km from the town at Gaggal and receives the services of the Indian Airlines which flies to Dharamshala thrice a week from Delhi.

Rail: The nearest broad gauge railhead is at Pathankot.

Road: With National Highway 1 and National Highway 1A, Dharamshala maintains a fine connectivity to Pathankot, Jalandhar and other places in Himachal.

Shopping

Dharamshala boasts of first-rate form of arts, crafts and a rich past, exhibiting artefacts that dates back to the 5th century. It has some famous items like sculptures, pottery and anthropological items and travellers take delight to shell out money for such items.
